NEW DELHI: Over 15.5 lakh cyber safety incidents have been reported within the final two years and 11.58 lakh of them have been recorded in 2020 alone, the Lok Sabha was knowledgeable on Tuesday.
Union Minister of State for Residence G Kishan Reddy mentioned the Indian Laptop Emergency Response Staff (CERT-In) is serving because the nationwide company for responding to cyber safety incidents in accordance with the provisions of Part 70B of the Data Know-how Act, 2000.
In response to the data reported to and tracked by the CERT-In, 3,94,499 and 11,58,208 cyber safety incidents have been noticed throughout 2019 and 2020, respectively, he mentioned in a written reply to a query.
Reddy mentioned the CERT-In receives inputs from its situational consciousness methods and menace intelligence sources about malware infections in networks of entities throughout sectors.
Every time any incident involves the discover of CERT-In, it points alerts and advisories to the entities involved and sectoral Laptop Emergency Response Groups (CERTs) for remedial measures, he mentioned.
