THRISSUR: Not less than 39 totally vaccinated medical college students of the Authorities Medical Hospital right here have examined optimistic for COVID-19, hospital authorities stated on Monday.

The medical school, closed as a result of COVID-19 induced lockdown, was reopened on June 1 and the primary batch of the scholars reported again to the campus on June 5.

The second batch of 175 college students arrived on June 6, amongst whom the primary case of COVID-19 was confirmed the identical day, the authorities stated.

Three batches of the scholars are staying again within the campus as their examination is now underway, they stated.

Nineteen college students in these batches have examined optimistic for COVID-19.

“A complete of 39 medical college students have examined optimistic for COVID-19 since June 6. All of them had taken two doses of the vaccine,” a hospital authority informed PTI.

The scholars who examined optimistic have been admitted to the hospital.

They’ve been allowed to seem for the speculation examination in specifically organized rooms.

Moreover them, 17 college students of the Dental school within the Medical Faculty campus have additionally examined optimistic for coronavirus, they stated.
