Bengal polls 2021: Mamata Banerjee asks voters to be on guard, fears intimidation by central forces

BALAGARH: Apprehending {that a} part of central paramilitary forces could go to villages to intimidate folks, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday requested voters to be on guard.

Addressing a public assembly right here in Hooghly district, Banerjee alleged central forces are engaged on directions of the “Union Dwelling Ministry run by Amit Shah.”

“I’ve respect for the central paramilitary forces however they’re engaged on directions from Delhi. They’re committing atrocities on villagers earlier than polling day, a few of them are even harassing girls. They’re asking folks to vote for BJP. We is not going to enable this to proceed,” the TMC chief mentioned.
