MUMBAI: Maharashtra BJP chief Pravin Darekar on Thursday hit out at Shiv Sena chief Sanjay Raut for his refusal to hunt state Dwelling Minister Anil Deshmukh’s resignation regardless of “severe” allegations levelled towards him by former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh.

Singh had final week written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, through which he alleged that Deshnmukh wished cops to gather Rs 100 crore per thirty days from bars and motels.

Darekar mentioned, “Sena chief Sanjay Raut had no drawback in searching for the resignation of Sanjay Rathod, a minister who belonged to his personal celebration, over his alleged involvement within the suspicious dying of a younger lady final month.”

Rathod resigned as state minister in February.

“Nevertheless, he’s refusing to demand NCP chief and residential minister Anil Deshmukh’s resignation regardless of severe prices levelled towards him by Param Bir Singh. Is Raut a spokesperson of the NCP or the Shiv Sena?” the Chief of Opposition in state Legislative Council mentioned.

Raut is throwing his weight behind Deshmukh and mentioned there is no such thing as a want for his resignation, Darekar mentioned.
