Centre Attempting To Assemble E-Freeway On Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Minister

New Delhi: The federal government is attempting to assemble a separate ”e-highway” on the 1,300-kilometre-long Delhi-Mumbai Expressway the place vans and buses can ply at a velocity of 120 km per hour, Highway Transport and Freeway Minister Nitin Gadkari stated on Thursday.

Replying to a question throughout Query Hour in Lok Sabha, Mr Gadkari stated the step is predicted to carry logistics price down by 70 per cent.

“We try to construct ‘e-highway’ on the 1,300-km freeway between Delhi and Mumbai,” he stated.

The minister, nonetheless, added that no closing resolution has been taken on this.

Mr Gadkari stated Siemens has used this expertise and constructed an analogous street in Germany.

“Buses and vans can ply on this e-highway at a velocity of 120 kmph and can carry down the logistics price by 70 per cent,” he added.

Replying to a different query, the minister stated Rs 60,000 crore has been spent on setting up roads like Dwarka Expressway, the jap and the western categorical bypass which is able to scale back air air pollution in Delhi.
