Congress points whip to Rajya Sabha MPs, asks for help to celebration’s stand on NCT Invoice

NEW DELHI: Congress issued a whip to its Rajya Sabha MPs asking them to help the celebration’s stand on the Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi (Modification) Invoice, 2021, which is scheduled to be introduced within the Home on Tuesday.

The Lok Sabha handed the Invoice which entails that the time period “authorities” referred to in any regulation made by the Legislative Meeting will suggest the Lieutenant Governor.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal termed the passage of the Authorities of Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi (Modification) Invoice, 2021 within the Lok Sabha as “an insult to the folks of Delhi”.

The Lok Sabha on Monday handed the Authorities of Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi (Modification) Invoice, 2021 after a reply to the controversy by Minister of State for Residence Affairs G Kishan Reddy.

The Invoice seeks to amend the Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991.
