“The manufacturing unit proprietor was lifting the lintel stage with out permission of the municipal company,” civic official Varinder Sharma had earlier mentioned.
Groups of the Nationwide Catastrophe Response Drive, State Catastrophe Response Drive and civic physique undertook the rescue operations.
A case has been registered in opposition to the manufacturing unit proprietor and the contractor, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Rakesh Aggarwal had earlier mentioned.
The Chief Minister had introduced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh every for the households of the victims and free remedy for the injured.
