GANGTOK/KOLKATA: An earthquake of 4.3 magnitude rocked Sikkim’s East district on Sunday night, in line with the Nationwide Centre for Seismology.
The earthquake occurred at 9.50 pm and was recorded at a depth of 6 kilometres, it stated.
The epicentre was situated at Latitude 27.25 diploma north and Longitude 88.77 diploma East, round 18 kilometres away from state capital Gangtok.
The tremor was felt in Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts within the northern components of neighbouring West Bengal, native individuals stated.
As per preliminary reviews, there was no report of any harm to life or property because of the earthquake, officers sources stated.
