PUNE: An previous rusted grenade-like object was discovered on Tuesday throughout the Metro excavation work on the premises of an academic institute in Maharashtra’s Pune metropolis, police stated.
A group of the Pune police’s Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) has reached the spot, they stated.
“Throughout the excavation work, an previous, rusted grenade- like object was discovered within the soil on the website situated on the premises of the Indian Institute of Science Training and Analysis (IISER) in Baner space,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Deshmukh stated.
Some land that belonged to the IISER was acquired for a Metro rail challenge and the excavation work was occurring there, the official stated.
