CHENNAI: Indian Coast Guard ship ‘Vajra’, the sixth offshore patrol vessel to boost coastal safety, was formally commissioned into service right here on Wednesday.

At an occasion to mark the commissioning of the ship, Chief of Defence workers Basic Bipin Rawat formally unveiled a ‘plaque’ and the ship’s title board ‘Vajra’ that means ‘Thunderbolt’ on the Chennai Port Belief.
