VARANASI: A petitioner within the Kashi Vishwanath temple-Gyanvapi mosque dispute case has allegedly obtained a life menace, after which he has been offered safety, police stated on Saturday. Harihar Pandey has been offered safety on the orders of Varanasi Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh and they’re investigating the case, a police officer stated.
Pandey stated when he reached dwelling after a fast-track courtroom order within the case on Thursday, he obtained a name from an unknown quantity.
He claimed that the particular person gave his title as Yasin and stated, “Pandeyji, you’ve gotten gained the case however will be unable to enter the archaeological surveyed temple. You and your colleagues can be killed.”
A Varanasi courtroom on Thursday ordered an archaeological survey of the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the Gyanvapi mosque premises. In its order, the courtroom requested the Uttar Pradesh authorities to get examined the disputed premises by a five-member workforce of the Archaeological Survey of India at its expense.
The plea within the case had contended that the mosque in Varanasi is part of the temple.
