Kerala polls 2021: CPM bid to misuse postal votes, says Congress MP Hibi Eden

By Categorical Information Service
KOCHI: Hibi Eden, MP, has come out in opposition to the CPM alleging that the get together has been misusing postal votes allotted to these above 80 years.

“In Elamakkara, two CPM native leaders arrived together with the presiding officer and the polling officer to gather the 12 D type for postal voting from a voter aged above 80. As per norms, presiding officers and polling officers are accompanied by police officers, videographer and sales space brokers of political events.

“On this case, the representatives of different events weren’t knowledgeable. When the UDF raised objection, officers stated they’ve been directed to take action by larger officers. Earlier, Sunny Joseph, MLA of Peravoor in Kannur, had raised an identical grievance,” Hibi stated. The UDF will lodge a proper grievance, he added.
