MUMBAI: A 48-year-old man was arrested for allegedly threatening and abusing BJP MLA Ashish Shelar, Mumbai police stated on Saturday.
Osama Shamshad Khan, a resident of Mahim, was tracked down and held on the idea of technical inputs gathered throughout a probe by Unit IX of the Crime Department after Shelar had approached police, an official stated. It was discovered that the accused was annoyed over a land dispute in Bandra, resulting from which his son was dealing with an try to homicide case, the official added.
