Police register suo motu case in Bengal blast that killed a 7-year-old

RASIKPUR: Police on Tuesday lodged a suo motu case at Rasikpur police station in Purba Bardhaman district in reference to the dying of a kid in a bomb blast right here, a police officer mentioned.

A forensic group from Kolkata reached the spot and a big police contingent was deployed there to keep away from any tampering of proof, the officer mentioned.

Preliminary probe discovered that the bombs had been stored in an earthen pot although sleuths had been but to detect it.

“Preliminary probe is being performed,” he added.

A seven-year-old boy was killed and one other little one injured in a crude bomb explosion in Rasikpur’s Subhaspally space of Bardhaman metropolis on Monday.

Sheikh Afroz (7) and Sheikh Ibrahim (9) had been taking part in close to their home once they hit an object by which the crude bombs had been stored, resulting in the blast, Bardhaman police station’s inspector-in-charge Pintu Saha had mentioned.

Following the incident, the Election Fee sought a report from the state administration.
