GANDHINAGAR: The Gujarat authorities on Thursday mentioned it has shut down two testing laboratories situated in Surat metropolis of the state for issuing faux COVID-19 damaging certificates.
State Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, who can be the Well being Minister, informed this to the Legislative Meeting in response to a query raised by MLA Kalabhai Dabhi from Kapadvanj seat.
Patel mentioned the federal government had acquired complaints that these two laboratories had been issuing faux COVID-19 damaging certificates.
“We acquired complaints that Tejas laboratory and Hemjyot laboratory in Surat had been issuing faux certificates, after which we acquired the allegations verified,” he mentioned.
The federal government had earlier given approval to those labs for conducting coronavirus checks, Patel mentioned, including that they’ve now been closed until additional orders.
