UP’s Ghaziabad To Vote On April 15 To Elect 161 Village Heads

Ghaziabad: Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district will vote within the first part of gram panchayat elections within the state on April 15 to elect 161 village heads.

Voting will happen between 7 am and 6 pm at 958 polling cubicles on 311 polling stations.

A complete of 5,56,086 voters will train their franchise.

Nominations will probably be filed on April 3 and 4, District Justice of the Peace and Election Officer Ajay Shankar Pandey advised PTI, including that scrutiny of nomination papers will probably be carried out on April 5 and 6.

Candidates will probably be allowed to withdraw their names on April 7 and on the identical day, symbols will probably be allotted to the contestants.

Ample safety can be deployed at polling stations, the officer mentioned, including that the Excise Division has been instructed to control the motion of recognized bootleggers in order to test the provision of liquor.
