Washington: Members of the US Navy sang a well-liked Hindi tune at a dinner assembly between US Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Michael M Gilday and India’s Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Sandhu shared a video of officers singing Yeh Jo Desh Hai Tera from the movie Swades. He wrote: “It is a friendship bond that can’t be damaged ever.” The tune was initially composed and sung by AR Rehman for the 2004 movie Swades.
The clip reveals a workforce of singers and musical instrument gamers from the US Navy band dressed of their uniforms as they current the tune.

In a separate tweet, Sandhu thanked the US CNO Admiral Gilday for internet hosting a “great night”. Sandhu wrote that he seems ahead to working collectively to additional deepen the India-US partnership.
In his message, Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael M Gilday mentioned, “Collectively, we’ll promote a free, open & inclusive rules-based order within the Indo-Pacific and past. I stay up for our two navies” continued cooperation.”
