A mentally unstable man in Karnataka’s Kodagu district was allegedly crushed to dying by policemen after violating lockdown norms, following which eight personnel have been suspended Sunday, a senior police official mentioned.
IGP Karnataka Southern Vary Praveen Madhukar Pawar mentioned the incident involving Roy D’Souza (50) happened on June 9 close to Virajpet City Police Station. In response to a criticism filed by the deceased’s brother, D’Souza was taken to the police station after he was discovered violating lockdown norms, the place he was roughed up. “After the assault… D’Souza had collapsed…his mom was known as and knowledgeable to take her son away.
