BHOPAL: The carcasses of two leopards have been present in a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat district with electrocution suspected to be the trigger behind their loss of life, a senior forest officer mentioned on Monday. “The carcasses of a male leopard and a feminine leopard have been noticed at Harrabhat Khurmundi village by villagers who in flip knowledgeable forest officers on Sunday,” Narendra Sanodia, Chief Conservator of Forests, advised PTI.
It’s suspected that these leopards died of electrocution after stepping on a dwell electrical wire laid within the space, he mentioned, including the postmortem and lab check experiences are awaited. Two individuals are being questioned in reference to the incident, Sanodia mentioned.
In accordance with a forest division official, the carcasses have been mendacity about six metres aside from one another on the spot.
