Jakarta: The cockpit voice recorder (CVR) from a crashed Sriwijaya Air jet has been downloaded efficiently and consists of the final minutes of the flight that ended with 62 individuals lifeless, an official at Indonesia’s air accident investigator mentioned on Monday.

The CVR was recovered in late March after a close to three-month search of the Java Sea. It was present in mud sucked up by a dredging ship and was dried out and cleaned of mud and salt.
It accommodates 4 channels of audio, together with recordings of the captain and first officer, Nurcahyo mentioned.
“Every (channel) has the final two hours, together with the report of the flight that crashed,” he mentioned.
The channels will have to be synchronised with one another in addition to radio communications and the flight information recorder (FDR) for evaluation to assist decide the reason for the crash.
